The truth is, some of these great places in Toronto are awesome year round and so while the celebrities might be enjoying these spots for one week in September, you’ve got to see what all the hype is about yourself.
Located in the heart of the entertainment district, the Bisha Hotel welcomes some of the world’s trendiest guests on the regular. Between the lobby lounge’s luxe velvet walls, the euro chic Mister C lobby lounge and the gorgeous 43rd floor event space, celebs will flock to what has quickly become known as one of the sleekest destinations in Toronto.

KOST This rooftop restaurant has unparalled panoramic views of the city skyline, with an option for indoor and outdoor seating. Since last year’s open, this restaurant has welcomed many celebrities including Martin Short and is regularly called one of the most Instagrammable spots in the city (in fact, sport legends Rafael Nadal and Shaquille O’Neal were caught posing here during a recent visit to the city). Inspired by the Baja Peninsula, this venue welcomes guests for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner with a menu by extremely talented executive chef Ben Heaton. SOFIA The newest restaurant for hospitality empire INK Entertainment, Sofia is a fine-dining restaurant and bar serving authentic Italian cuisine. With a modern yet old Hollywood glam feel, the space ticks every box for a TIFF event. Most appealing, the restaurant offers one of the largest and most private patios the city has to offer; a must-have for visiting A-listers.

BYBLOS TORONTO/STORYS TORONTO
Each year, stars flock to enjoy this award-winning Eastern Mediterranean restaurant. Conveniently located in the same space as the film-fest hub the Storys Building, it is safe to assume many after parties will be here to celebrate big-time film debuts.

Other venues to keep an eye on include King Street favourites Patria and Weslodge, as well as newcomer Mira, privately tucked away in the former F-Stop location.
