WBD Access x Canadian Academy Directors Program, dedicated to Canadian directors from underrepresented communities

Discovery Access Canada and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (the Canadian Academy) have announced the return of their talent roster initiatives, the WBD Access x Canadian Academy Writers Program and WBD Access x Canadian Academy Directors Program for their third and second round of programming, respectively. If you’re an experienced Canadian writer looking to take the next step in your career, this is the opportunity for you. The WBD Access x Canadian Academy Writers Program is offering support for up to ten writers through the development of a particular project, mentorship and community-building opportunities. This round of the program has a new focus on individuals working to establish themselves in the episodic television industry. Even if you’re looking to submit a feature film sample script, there will not be an opportunity to develop a feature film in this program. This is an incredible opportunity for underrepresented writers and directors in Canada to gain support and build their careers.
